When Boats Have Problems…

Fortunately, I’m not referring to FOC!

I took a break from varnishing stuff on the ship and went sailing with a friend yesterday.

There was a wee bit of rain, but not enough to dampen spirits:

By the way, my friend’s boat was fine. Other boaters had some issues, which provided some drama on the water.

This boat keeled over:

After a bit of a struggle, they got it righted and sailed off as if nothing had happened.

On the way back in, we came across another boat in trouble:

The situation here seemed more serious. Flashing lights on shore indicated the presence of emergency response vehicles.

The boat was eventually towed in by another sailboat. From what we understand, no one was hurt.
